Lady Antebellum remains at number-one on the country album chart and returns to the top of the overall chart with Need You Now jumping past Sade’s Soldier of Love. The group sold 126-thousand copies this week — an increase of seven percent. Blake Shelton’s special six-track collection, Hillbilly Bone, comes in at two on the country chart and is the highest debut of his career. American Idol’s Danny Gokey is close behind at number-three with the debut of My Best Days and Easton Corbin’s self-titled debut is looking locked in at number-four. Taylor Swift slips a couple of spots, but Fearless takes the final spot in the top five.

The first in Alan Jackson’s series of I-Tunes exclusives, “Hard Hat and a Hammer,” was released this week. It’s also the first cut on his upcoming C-D, Freight Train. Alan tells us, “I loved that fiddle kick-off… When we were recording it I said, ‘That’s going to start the album.’” Next week Alan will release “Every Now and Then” exclusively to I-Tunes.

The release of Jo Dee Messina’s upcoming Unmistakable C-D has once again been postponed by her record label and she isn’t happy about it. Jo Dee tells Belleville, Illinois’ New Democrat, “The album has been completed since 2007, and there is always some sort of reason they have not to release it…In fact, it was supposed to be released April 13th, and now that has been delayed. It’s just so frustrating for me.”

Another study from Queensland University in Australia found drinking just three cups of green tea a day can prevent weight gain even if you continue to eat junk food. Scientists fed laboratory rats a diet high in sugary treats. As might be expected, the rodents began to gain weight rapidly. Their blood pressure soared. But after green tea was added to the regimen, the extra fat melted away and their blood pressure returned to normal even though they continued to gorge on high sugar foods.

He says, “I decided rather than be first, I’d take some time and create something that gives the fans the most comprehensive application we could create. And I wanted it to be free for them, just to say thanks for being part of all of this.”
Kenny’s I-Phone app is available through I-Tunes.

Darius Rucker is partnering with Musicians on Call to bring music to patients in healthcare facilities. Darius will perform at the bedside of patients at the Tennessee Valley Heathcare System’s V-A Hospital on Wednesday. Darius says, “I think the Musicians on Call initiative is important because it’s one-on-one contact with patients whose health and recovery can directly be affected by one person’s time and attention.”

Justin Moore has fallen victim to one of Brad Paisley’s notorious tour pranks. In honor of the recent birth of Ella Kole Moore, one of Brad’s crew members went on stage during Justin’s set in Fresno, California wearing nothing but a diaper. The country newcomer returned the favor by wearing the same diaper, over his clothes, and visiting Brad during his performance of “Alcohol.” The boys have the week off, allowing for plenty of time to plot revenge and change diapers.
